
Shikhar Dhawan, who announced his retirement from Indian cricket in August, is keeping busy with various cricketing ventures. He’s set to play in the upcoming Nepal Premier League, where he’ll represent the Karnali Yaks as the first Indian player in the competition. The league kicks off on November 30 and runs until December 21. Alongside Dhawan, players like James Neesham, Martin Guptill, Unmukt Chand, and Ben Cutting will also be participating.
Dhawan, after announcing his retirement from the Indian national team, has been involved in the Legends League Cricket and is also gearing up for the Big Bash League in December.
The Karnali Yaks shared their excitement about Dhawan joining the team, saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome Shikhar Dhawan to the Nepal Premier League. Get ready for some fantastic cricket action as the team brings the spirit and determination of Karnali.”
Dhawan, one of India’s most celebrated cricketers, scored 24 centuries in his 269 international appearances. Known for his impressive performances in ICC tournaments, he retired from international cricket after leading Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024.
