
Former Nepal national cricket coach, Pubudu Dassanayake, has been appointed as the head coach of Janakpur Bolts for the 2024 Nepal Premier League (NPL) season. Dassanayake, who led Nepal to their first-ever T20 World Cup appearance in 2014, brings a wealth of international experience to the team.
A former cricketer for both Sri Lanka and Canada, Dassanayake played 11 Tests and 16 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for Sri Lanka. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with several teams, including the Bhairahawa Gladiators in the Everest Premier League, as well as the national teams of the United States, Canada, and Nepal. He made his international debut for Canada at the 2005 ICC Trophy.
